{"id":124,"date":"2011-08-25T19:44:36","date_gmt":"2011-08-25T19:44:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.partypanache.com\/blog\/?p=124"},"modified":"2023-07-09T01:54:54","modified_gmt":"2023-07-09T01:54:54","slug":"say-yes-to-your-dress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.partypanache.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/say-yes-to-your-dress\/","title":{"rendered":"Say Yes to Your Dress!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now that I\u2019ve gotten over my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.people.com\/people\/article\/0,,20522112,00.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kardashian wedding<\/a> hangover, I thought it was the perfect time for a blog entry on finding that perfect wedding dress.\u00a0 While Kim K. may have had three gowns, most of us only have one and want it to be perfect.\u00a0 Here are a few things to think about before you even step foot in that bridal salon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.partypanache.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/vera-wang-designer-wedding-dress.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-125\" title=\"vera-wang-designer-wedding-dress\" src=\"http:\/\/www.partypanache.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/vera-wang-designer-wedding-dress.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"292\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Know your budget and let your bridal consultant in on that number as well.\u00a0 If you can\u2019t afford it \u2013 don\u2019t try it on.\u00a0 We all want what we can\u2019t have, so why fall in love with something you can\u2019t buy?\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget the extras (veil, accessories, alterations, etc.) \u2013 they add up fast.\u00a0 You may also want to consider borrowing some of those extras from your friends or family &#8211; you need a \u201csomething borrowed\u201d anyway.<\/li>\n<li>Be realistic about what will look good on you.\u00a0 That model in the magazine you\u2019re reading is most likely six feet tall and a size zero \u2013 most of us mere mortals are nowhere near that.\u00a0 I\u2019ve always thought flowy gowns were so beautiful and romantic, and on many women they certainly are.
